ALPMETAL & CO has more than fifty years of tradition on the local market and has been present and recognized on the world market for more than 30 years.
Our company has many years of experience in the field of pressure die casting, casting processing, precision turning, casting assembly, injection molding, sheet metal forming, as well as manufacture of tools’ structures and the construction and manufacturing of various assembly components. The company has the ability to maintain all the necessary tools and devices itself.
Our company is export-oriented; exporting to European Union countries, as well as to other countries outside the EU. Our clients are from the automotive industry, manufacturers of various components in the air conditioning industry, electrical industry, tires and hydraulics. Most of the companys’ products are components that are intended to be assebmled into the final products of the company's clients. Our sales program includes die casting, processed castings and component assembly, mainly made of aluminium, zinc and plastic. Our production is managed and organized in accordance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards for quality assurance and follows the standards of the automotive industry according to VDA 6.1, in accordance with standards of environmental responsibility, and with all clients’ guidelines and additional requirements.
COMPANY HISTORY
The main turning points of the company Alpmetal & CO
- A craft workshop is established in 1968, as the origin of the company Alpmetal & CO, mainly focusing on the production of metal products.
1968
- The workshop becomes a supplier of assembly components for the automotive industry in the Yugoslavian market.
1986
- The craft workshop grows into a small private company Alpmetal & CO with its own spatial and other development possibilities.
1993
- After the loss of the Yugoslavian market, the company quickly adapts to the new situation and focuses its products on car manufacturers in Western markets. It complements the production of components for the automotive industry with the production of components for air conditioners, the electrical industry, and the pneumatic and hydraulic industry.
- The company set itself the long-term strategic goal of becoming an innovative and flexible partner in the automotive industry.
2000
- The company focuses on the production of assembly components for power steering wheels, for passenger cars from various manufacturers, air conditioning components and also products for other industries.
2003
- In cooperation with its clients, the company begins to develop new assembly components for power steering wheel for passenger cars and components that are assembled in air conditioners, products for the needs of the hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic industries.
2004
- The company becomes increasingly recognizable in the market. It enters into direct cooperation with the Volkswagen AG Group and increases its cooperation with ZF Lenksysteme GmbH.
2005 - 2012
- From 2005-2012, the company has expanded its production program and strengthened cooperation with clients to an extent that an investment in a new hall is needed, as there is a chronic lack of spatial capacity.
- The company opens and starts production in its new production plant in Škofja Loka; production begins in both production plants.
2013
- The company further strengthens cooperation with its clients, invests regularly in new technology and equipment, to ensure capacity, constantly cooperates with clients in the development of new products and receives nominations and orders for new products.
2014
- The company receives the Bosch Global Supplier Award 2015, which is honourably awarded by Robert Bosch GmbH for its results in terms of competitiveness, regular deliveries and quality.
2015
- The company continues the practice of to be a quality, competitive and innovative partner in the automotive and air conditioning, hydraulic and electrical industries.
2016
- The company upgrades its machinery, pays great attention to automation and production optimization, increases the volume of production and expands its production programme.
2017
- The company invests in a new production plant and production automation, the development goes in the direction of a high-quality supplier for the automotive industry, as well as a highly ranked supplier for other industries that can meet high demands for quality, affordable prices and logistics.
2018 - 2019
- The company will continue its production and development in the direction of automation, digitalization and computerization of production and processes.
2020 - 2025
